Annika D’Andrea Kazembe, a distinguished healthcare and business executive with over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry. Annika’s expertise spans various healthcare settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and healthcare administrations. With an extensive background in operations management, strategic leadership, planning, and business development, Annika has effectively led multiple organizations as Chief Executive Officer for the past 16 years.
In addition to her executive roles, Annika is the President & Founder of Tender Loving Family, Inc., a prominent home healthcare organization. She has also spearheaded TLFC Child Care and Learning Centers, TLC Virtual Academy, Inc., and co-founded TLC Virtual Resiliency, an organization focusing on employee mental wellness. Her influential leadership extends across all facets of these organizations, encompassing strategy, growth, day-to-day management, and overall development.
Annika’s dedication to improving healthcare education is evidenced through her role as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer. She conducts training sessions and seminars on Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia care nationwide, empowering healthcare professionals to become Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP).
Starting her healthcare journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Annika’s determination and commitment led her to evolve into the transformational, progressive, and innovative leader she is today.
Her expansive skill set encompasses certifications as a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, a Certified Super Noggin® Brain Fitness Instructor, and a Professional Certified American Red Cross trainer for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support. Annika actively engages with professional associations, including the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), American Senior Fitness Association, the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), the Greater Rochester Area Partnership for the Elderly (GRAPE), and the National Notary Association (NNA).

Annika’s journey began with humble origins, focusing on providing care and support to the elderly from a young age. These early experiences ignited her passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others, which she has carried into her professional career. As a nurse, she witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by patients in institutional settings, motivating her to establish Tender Loving Family Care to honor the wish of aging in place.
